I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Accelerated Chinese with the Chinese Flagship Program at Indiana University Bloomington. I have attended schools in China as well however. I attended the High School Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University in Shanghai, China for one year in 2012. In 2014 I attended Minzu University in Beijing, China for the summer.
Experience
I have lived in China for over a year in both Shanghai and Beijing, and have been studying Mandarin Chinese for over five years. I studied Chinese in High School and have taken over four years in College. I want to be a tutor because I love the Chinese language and teaching people about Chinese culture. I can tutor in pronunciation/speaking, writing, homework, and even cultural questions on China. From 2012-2013 I worked as a Youth Ambassador in Shanghai for the American State Department, and gained lots of Chinese experience from this. I also studied four years of Japanese and have taken many classes on East Asia.

Hobbies
I love to travel and eat exotic and delicious food! Japanese and Thai food is my favorite, but I'll never turn down pizza. I have a blackbelt in Shotokan karate, but have also practiced and taught Chinese Kung Fu in China. My favorite memory in China was traveling to Luoyang, China, and practicing Kung Fu in the actual Shaolin Temple.
