Experienced Writing center tutor Ivy Tech Community College of Bloomington I want to be a tutor in order to help students improve their reading and writing skills since they are important skill sets outside of college. Also, I feel I have learned just as much about reading and writing from working with students as I have through my own experiences. I have taken basic and advanced classes in the subjects of Philosophy, psychology, English, and History. This includes; ethics in morality, intro to philosophy, intro to philosophy ethics, applied ethics, intro to psychology, abnormal psychology, english 10 honors, english 11AP, english 12 AP english 101-w202 english composition, creative writing 101, creative writing fiction, creative writing poetry, history 12 politics and government, American history 101, american history 102, history of american politics, history of the 1960's, Jewish history Spanish expulsion to present, etc; Nominated for the Bloomington Be More Award 2016 ( I am a part of the Wonder lab volunteer team that was nominated for community service) 3rd place at first Midwest Regional Ethics Bowl 2015 (I represented Bloomington High School North on a team of four on a debate team and we received the third place trophy at the debate tournament.) 2015-2016- Club Coexist at Bloomington North- Founder and President (Our goal is to support Muslims and Syrian refugees through educating people and volunteering in our community.)
