Brianna W.
Private tutor in Bloomington, IN
Education
I am a freshman at Indiana University Bloomington. I have a full ride scholarship and I am majoring in Anthropology and minoring in Archaeology. I graduated high school with a 3.2 unweighted GPA, 3.6 weighted.
Experience
My previous tutoring experience includes teaching Algebra 2 to a sophomore, SAT prep to the same student, Algebra 1 to a 6th grader and a sophomore, and ABCs and 123s to a 3 and a half year old for his busy single dad. I also have experience with working with kids from the grade school range to the lower high school range through volunteer tutoring at the local schools. My SAT score was 1850 my junior year of high school. I did not retake it, as I graduated early and went straight into the local state university in January of 2012. I have been working with kids and their education since I was in 3rd grade. I was always deemed as a nuisance child due to finishing my work extremely early compared to the other children, and a very influential teacher of mine convinced the principal to allow me to do all my work in the morning and work with other kids in the afternoon. I did this all throughout grade and middle school, and it led to my love of teaching others. I have taught myself algebra 1, and I've taken both Geometry and Algebra 2 honors, as well as pre-calculus. My reading score on my SATs was high enough to test out of the required writing class at IUB.

Hobbies
I am currently learning how to play guitar on my own, and I'm learning how to play Go from a friend of mine. In my spare time, I listen and read through Open course ware (Learning/taking classes without getting college credit, mainly used to supplement my ever-growing lists of interests). I love reading philosophy texts and building counter arguments to their theories.
